Large crowds are expected to turn out in Belarus for the
seventh consecutive Sunday of protests against authoritarian leader Alexander
Lukashenko. On Saturday, police in the capital Minsk made dozens of arrests at
a women's' march denouncing his re-election in a vote that many say was rigged.
Lukashenko's attempts to crackdown on protests has done little to dent
protesters' resolve. Despite the disputed election, Lukashenko was inaugurated
with no previous notice or media present. The opposition is set to symbolically
inaugurate Svetlana Tsikhanovskaya in response.
