US President Donald Trump is sending a 'surge' of federal
agents to multiple US cities, including Chicago, in an alleged crackdown on
crime. The move comes after federal officers were controversially sent to the
city of Portland to target protesters demanding racial justice. Local officials
there have stated that the presence of federal officers has made tensions in
the city worse. Some people have referred to the officers, who wear no name
tags or insignia and have been seen forcing protesters into unmarked vehicles,
as a 'secret police.'
