Epstein Met Benjamin Netanyahu In 1989?

Epstein Met Benjamin Netanyahu In 1989?

Recent investigations and document leaks have shed light on the connections between Jeffrey Epstein and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, though specific dates and the nature of their relationship remain subjects of debate.

  • Alleged 1989 Meeting: Reports from Drop Site News and social media summaries of "Epstein Files" released in early 2026 suggest a connection dating back to the late 1980s. Some interpretations of newly surfaced emails from the U.S. Justice Department include references like "Photo from Visit with Bibi," fueling speculation about early meetings.
  • 2011 Facilitation: Documents from a lawsuit by the U.S. Virgin Islands against JPMorgan Chase revealed that in March 2011, Epstein may have facilitated a meeting between JPMorgan executives and Netanyahu. An internal bank message stated, "Against all odds, we have been granted a meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu," to which Epstein reportedly responded, "Surprise, surprise".
  • Netanyahu's Response: Netanyahu has consistently dismissed claims that Epstein worked for Israeli intelligence or had an unusually close relationship with him. He has instead used the controversy to attack political rival Ehud Barak, whose documented ties to Epstein—including staying at Epstein's New York apartment—are more extensive.
  • Intelligence Allegations: Unverified FBI informant claims and newly released files allege Epstein was a co-opted Mossad agent, though Israeli officials like former PM Naftali Bennett have called these accusations "categorically and totally false".
