An anti-immigration demonstration is in full swing in Amsterdam. About a
thousand demonstrators walk a march through the center of the city. Our

The
demonstrators started the march along the Vondelpark after a stage program on
the Museumplein in Amsterdam. They are flanked by many police officers equipped
with shields and batons. Police vans drive in front of the procession.
At the
front are people holding a banner of Defend Netherlands. From the march with
hundreds of people, the slogans 'azc, get rid of it', 'where is Antifa then'
and 'we are the Netherlands' can be heard. At the start of the program on the
Museumplein, about three hundred people were present, after which the number
steadily increased. Reporters estimate that the procession consists of about a
thousand people.
The tour
attracts a lot of attention, the reactions differ. On the Overtoom, a man
shouts 'boo' from his balcony, a balcony further someone is cheering. Further

In Amsterdam is een anti-immigratiedemonstratie in volle gang. Zo’n duizend
demonstranten lopen een mars door het centrum van de stad. Onze verslaggevers

De
demonstranten zijn na een podiumprogramma op het Museumplein in Amsterdam
begonnen aan de mars langs het Vondelpark. Ze worden geflankeerd door veel
politieagenten die uitgerust zijn met schilden en wapenstokken. Voor de stoet
rijden politiebusjes.
Vooraan
lopen mensen die een spandoek vasthouden van Defend Netherlands. Uit de mars
met honderden mensen klinken de leuzen ’azc, weg ermee’, ’waar is Antifa dan’
en ’wij zijn Nederland’. Bij het begin van het programma op het Museumplein
waren zo’n driehonderd mensen aanwezig, daarna nam het aantal gestaag toe.
Verslaggevers schatten dat de stoet uit zo’n duizend mensen bestaat.
De tocht
trekt veel bekijks, de reacties verschillen. Op de Overtoom roept een man vanaf
zijn balkon ’boe’, een balkon verder juicht iemand juist. Verderop gaan uit een
raam meerdere duimen omlaag, dat leidt vanuit de stoet tot gejoel en het laten
zien van gebalde vuisten.

Het Van
Gogh Museum aan het Museumplein houdt zondag uit voorzorg de deuren gesloten.
Het Rijksmuseum gaat wel open en ook het Stedelijk Museum liet weten de deuren
gewoon te openen. Het veiligheidsrisicogebied geldt tot zondag 19.00 uur.
