Andreia e a filha de 13 anos serão ameaçadas todos os dias por vizinhos que usavam a sua conta para terem água, tendo acumulado faturas de 20 mil euros que a mulher não consegue pagar

 

Uma mulher está a viver um inferno com a filha, desde que, há cinco anos, uma família de etnia cigana ocupou o apartamento por baixo do seu, em Ermesinde, Valongo. O barulho e as ameaças são constantes. Há oito meses, fizeram duas puxadas do contador. Andreia ficou a dever 20 mil euros e está, desde novembro, sem água.

Andreia Pereira é uma verdadeira resiliente. Há 12 anos, teve que deixar de trabalhar, depois de ter sofrido dois AVC (Acidente Vascular Cerebral) e cinco tromboses. Pouco depois, fugiu de casa com a filha devido a violência doméstica. Viveu numa casa abrigo até 2018, quando encontrou um T1 em Ermesinde por 250 euros mensais. O máximo que consegue pagar com a pensão de invalidez de 600 euros.

 

“Por baixo, vivia um casal com três crianças. Havia muita empatia e era uma família muito sossegada. De um dia para o outro foram embora e, quando dei por ela, a casa estava tomada por pessoas de etnia cigana e levei logo com uma rusga”, conta.

 

Rapidamente, Andreia perdeu a conta ao número de pessoas que estava a viver no apartamento por baixo do seu. O barulho, a música alta e as ameaças eram uma constante. Mas o pior ainda estava para vir. A 13 de maio do ano passado, a mulher recebeu uma conta de água para pagar superior a cinco mil euros.

 

“O normal seria sempre entre 15 a 22 euros. Mesmo nos acertos, nunca paguei mais de 70 euros”, aponta.

 

Depois, Andreia notou que deixou de receber faturas da água. Em setembro, recebeu três com um total de cerca de 18 mil euros. “Estava na apresentação da escola da minha filha e até pensei que estava a ter outro AVC”, diz.

 

Em pânico, pediu ajuda à Junta de Ermesinde, à Câmara e à empresa municipal que, numa auditoria, comprovou a existência de duas puxadas de água mas diz ser algo a resolver pelo senhorio. Desde então, nada foi feito e Andreia vive sem água há cinco meses.

 

“Andava a acartar garrafões que enchia com água na fonte quando um senhor se ofereceu para me levar numa carrinha. Aparece duas vezes por semana”, conta a mulher, que sonha, ao menos, com um quarto para viver em segurança com a filha.

 

Ao JN, a Câmara de Valongo adianta que já fez uma vistoria à moradia e que Andreia está inscrita para a atribuição de habitação em regime de arrendamento apoiado. “Este realojamento é prioritário e será realizado logo que haja disponível habitação com a tipologia adequada”, garante.

A woman has been living hell with her daughter since, five years ago, a Roma family occupied the apartment below hers, in Ermesinde, Valongo. The noise and threats are constant. Eight months ago, they pulled the counter twice. Andreia owed 20 thousand euros and has been without water since November.

Andreia Pereira is a true resilient. 12 years ago, he had to stop working, after suffering two strokes (Cerebral Vascular Accident) and five thromboses. Shortly after, she ran away from home with her daughter due to domestic violence. She lived in a shelter until 2018, when she found a T1 in Ermesinde for 250 euros a month. The maximum you can pay with the disability pension of 600 euros.

 

"Underneath, there lived a couple with three children. There was a lot of empathy and it was a very quiet family. From one day to the next they left and, when I realized it, the house was taken over by people of gypsy ethnicity and I was immediately taken with a raid", she says.

 

Quickly, Andreia lost count of the number of people who were living in the apartment below hers. Noise, loud music and threats were a constant. But the worst was yet to come. On May 13 last year, the woman received a water bill to pay more than five thousand euros.

 

"The normal would always be between 15 and 22 euros. Even in the settlements, I never paid more than 70 euros", he points out.

 

Later, Andreia noticed that she stopped receiving water bills. In September, he received three with a total of about 18 thousand euros. "I was at my daughter's school presentation and I even thought I was having another stroke," she says.

 

In a panic, he asked for help from the Ermesinde Council, the City Council and the municipal company which, in an audit, proved the existence of two water pulls but says it is something to be solved by the landlord. Since then, nothing has been done and Andreia has been living without water for five months.

 

"I was carrying bottles that I filled with water in the fountain when a gentleman offered to take me in a van. He shows up twice a week," says the woman, who dreams of at least having a room to live safely with her daughter.

 

To JN, the Chamber of Valongo said that it has already inspected the house and that Andreia is registered for the allocation of housing under a supported rental regime. "This rehousing is a priority and will be carried out as soon as housing with the appropriate typology is available", he guarantees.
