"An unprecedented score!" Marine Le Pen jumps in the polls after October 17

According to an IFOP-Fiducial poll  published  on 21 October 2026 by Sud Radio, Marine Le Pen has record voting intentions of between 36% and 38% in the first round.

This opinion poll, mainly carried out on 18 and 19 October, follows the demonstrations, riots and violence that occurred on 17 October 2026.

Key survey details:

• Voting intentions: The National Rally candidate is progressing by 1 to 4 points depending on the different hypotheses tested.
• Political lead: She is ahead of her pursuers by 20 points on average.
• Electoral dynamics: The institute's analysts point out that it captures about 5% (nearly 1 in 20) of the voters who voted for Emmanuel Macron in the first round of the 2022 presidential election. It also achieves high scores (between 35% and 45%) in almost all socio-professional categories, with the exception of senior executives.
