Tens of thousands attended both the "Unite
the Kingdom" march and a pro-Palestine rally in London, with police
estimating 60,000 for the former and 30,000 for the latter. While organizers
claimed a higher quarter-million turnout for the pro-Palestine event, the
"Unite the Kingdom" march saw lower attendance than in September.
How many
people attended the protests today?
Tens of
thousands of people attended both the Tommy Robinson’s Unite the Kingdom march
and a pro-Palestine rally in London today.
Organisers
of the pro-Palestine Nakba Day rally estimated at least a quarter of a million
people attended the rally - larger than police estimates of 30,000.
However,
the number of people estimated to be at Tommy Robinson’s march was lower than
his march in September. The Metropolitan police believe that 60,000 attended
the far right Unite the Kingdom march, down from 150,000 in September.
