Answer that bloody question !!
Boris Johnson was urged to “answer the bloody question” by a
heckler as he was grilled over the resignation of Sir Kim Darroch. The
Conservative leadership hopeful was being questioned at the Cheltenham hustings
on Friday evening before the outburst from a frustrated audience member.
The former foreign secretary was asked “In retrospect do you
wish you’d answered that question slightly differently?” regarding his comments
about Britain's former ambassador to the United States.
The heckler then urged him to “answer the bloody question”
which is accompanied by a round of applause.
The former foreign secretary replies: “The honest truth is I
don’t think anything I said was material to, was actually decisive in Kim’s
decision to resign.”
Mr Johnson has been criticised for not fully offering his
support to Sir Kim in an ITV debate earlier this week.
