Ventura insiste em colar Gouveia e Melo ao PS: "Aposto que o doutor
António Costa vota no almirante"

O líder
do Chega afirmou este sábado que Gouveia e Melo protagoniza cada vez mais as
causas do PS, sobretudo por ter Mário Soares como modelo presidencial, e
apostou que o ex-primeiro-ministro António Costa vai votar no almirante.
André
Ventura falava à entrada para a sessão de abertura da conferência comemorativa
dos 50 anos do IDL - Instituto Amaro da Costa, no Teatro Thalia, em Lisboa, com
a presença do Presidente da República, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
Em
declarações aos jornalistas, André Ventura criticou as posições assumidas pelo
almirante Henrique Gouveia e Melo na entrevista que concedeu à agência Lusa,
designadamente sobre modelo ideal de Presidente da República e sobre imigração.
“Disse
que se revê na presidência de Mário Soares e que ao fim de dez anos um
imigrante, um indivíduo do Bangladesh, da Índia ou do Paquistão, é tão
português como nós. Isto não é uma candidatura de alguém que ama o seu país. É
uma candidatura de alguém que pensa como a esquerda pensa”, considerou o
candidato presidencial do Chega.
Para
André Ventura, o ex-chefe do Estado-Maior da Armada “em cada dia que fala
mostra que é cada vez mais o candidato do PS”, o que, na sua perspetiva, vai
complicar a situação de António José Seguro, o candidato que será apoiado pelos
socialistas.
“Se
estivesse na posição de António José Seguro, eu estaria preocupado, porque cada
dia que o almirante fala está a juntar novos apoios socialistas. E aposto que o
doutor António Costa vota no almirante Gouveia e Melo para Presidente da
República e há todo um PS que prefere o almirante ao António José Seguro, mas
isso é com eles, não é um problema nosso”, rematou.

The
leader of Chega said this Saturday that Gouveia e Melo is increasingly leading
the causes of the PS, especially because he has Mário Soares as a presidential
model, and bet that former Prime Minister António Costa will vote for the
admiral.
André
Ventura was speaking at the entrance to the opening session of the conference
commemorating the 50th anniversary of IDL - Instituto Amaro da Costa, at the
Thalia Theater, in Lisbon, with the presence of the President of the Republic,
Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
Speaking
to journalists, André Ventura criticized the positions taken by Admiral
Henrique Gouveia e Melo in the interview he gave to the Lusa agency, namely on
the ideal model of President of the Republic and on immigration.
"He
said that he sees himself in the presidency of Mário Soares and that after ten
years an immigrant, an individual from Bangladesh, India or Pakistan, is as
Portuguese as we are. This is not a candidacy of someone who loves his country.
It is a candidacy of someone who thinks as the left thinks", considered
the presidential candidate of Chega.
For André
Ventura, the former chief of staff of the Navy "every day he speaks shows
that he is increasingly the candidate of the PS", which, in his
perspective, will complicate the situation of António José Seguro, the
candidate who will be supported by the socialists.
"If
I were in the position of António José Seguro, I would be worried, because
every day that the admiral speaks he is gathering new socialist support. And I
bet that Dr. António Costa votes for Admiral Gouveia e Melo for President of
the Republic and there is a whole PS that prefers the admiral to António José
Seguro, but that's up to them, it's not our problem," he concluded.
