Protesters in Turkey's capital are still sleeping in tents in a central park in what has become an unprecendented anti-government demonstration. The sit-in, which began as a reaction to plans to build a shopping centre on the green space, is now a call for the prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to stand down. Erdoğan has called for an end to widespread protest in Turkey, though has not outlined plans to remove protesters from the park.
