Montenegro: Lei de estrangeiros segue em frente mesmo que redação tenha de ser corrigida

 

"Há uma coisa que fica muito clara: nós não vamos desistir do nosso objetivo, mesmo que haja alguma correção da redação da lei em virtude da pronúncia do TC”, assegurou o primeiro-ministro.

O primeiro-ministro, Luís Montenegro, assegurou esta quinta-feira (7) ´`a noite que não vai desistir da lei dos estrangeiros, que será discutida no parlamento em setembro, dizendo que só depois de o Tribunal Constitucional (TC) se pronunciar é que haverá ou não correção da sua redação.

 

Luís Montenegro prometeu que, “se por um acaso, o TC entender que há alguma norma ou alguma solução de alguma norma não está completamente de acordo com a interpretação dos princípios constitucionais”, a maioria que representa vai “acatar essa decisão e encontrar uma solução jurídica que possa respeitar a pronuncia do TC".

The Prime Minister, Luís Montenegro, assured this Thursday (7) night that he will not give up on the law on foreigners, which will be discussed in parliament in September, saying that only after the Constitutional Court (TC) pronounces will there be or will not be correction of its wording.

 

Luís Montenegro promised that, "if by chance, the TC understands that there is some norm or some solution of some norm is not completely in accordance with the interpretation of constitutional principles", the majority it represents will "abide by that decision and find a legal solution that can respect the TC's pronouncement".

 

"But that it can also fulfill the objective. In other words, there is one thing that is very clear: we will not give up on our objective, even if there is some correction of the wording of the law due to the TC's pronouncement", he stressed.

 

Speaking to journalists, on the sidelines of the inauguration of the 633rd edition of the São Mateus Fair in Viseu, the prime minister recalled that the foreigners law "has not even been discussed yet" in Parliament, and expects this to happen at the beginning of the work, in September.
